INCOGNITO
INCOGNITO
This was a project that was created for the annual event Night of The Nerds under a temporary studio called “The Leftovers”. I was asked to work on a project that would focus mainly on creating a game that would spread awareness about the dangers of the rapid development of Artificial Intelligence and mostly automated facial recognition. The game itself focusses on a dystopian future where the world is partly destroyed and a plethora of people have created a large city with the remainders of what they had in the northern arctic regions. However, the AI they use is by far not as flawless as they advertise it to keep crime rates at an all time low. This results in innocent people being mistaken for actual criminals and without fair trial being locked up since the governing force fully trusts in their AI.

LUMO
LUMO
Asked by the “Ontdekfabriek” in Eindhoven (Netherlands) during the Fontys Dutch Design Charrette, about simply what types of innovations the future would hold for the city itself. A concept for an AR buddy that helps socializing people in the city was created, we decided to call this mascot “LUMO”. During this project I was primarely tasked with using the 3D pre-created model and motion track it into the environment.

A collection of multiple small one time creations that aren’t based off of large projects.
LIMINUM
Liminum is a personal project of mine that follows the idea of liminal spaces. This project was an experiment with the following hypothesis: Is the feeling of kenopsia (A term that describes an eerie feeling towards a (public) space that is usually filled with human interaction, but now completely abandoned.) an innate or trained feeling.
In order to gather results on this, I’ve attempted to create a VR interactive environment of a semi-empty hotel. This means that one would hear sounds coming from behind doors of possible guests or just ambience sounds of the hotel, but one would never actually find any human life around. The participants of the experiment would roam around in this world and at the end just describe how they felt about the experience. Note that they are not given any information on liminal spaces or kenopsia prior to starting the test.

OPERATION ELIMINATION
RELICS
Continuing with creating a couple of reference images in Blender
Operation Elimination was a hobby project of my own that focussed on improving my skills with blender, music creation, editing and storytelling. This music video (the final product of which can also be seen on the homepage) is inspired by an animation series created by GLITCH productions called “Murder Drones”. The song tells a story of an incident happening at a copycat company that tried over the years to build and improve their own version on the androids created by the original makers. The video shows how wrong things can go when something is just blatantly copied and not improved on properly.
RELICS is a continuation on a story created by Lucas Kauffman called “The Backrooms Archives”. As of current it’s still an ongoing project. It tells the story about three high-schoolers that find the concept of the backrooms interesting but don’t believe that it actually exists. As such they start snooping around in places they really shouldn’t, because of this they eventually face dire consequences. (The teaser of this can also be found on the homepage).
Note: The blender assets used in this one were created by Lucas Kauffman as well. The only things I’ve actively changed were the 2nd scene of the animation by moving assets around, slapping a video of static flickering on the monitor and both camera movement and some lighting changes.
